Oceans 4Ever

We’re popping in to let everyone know that another contest has a winner. The cleverly titled Contest #2, tell us your fave ocean creature and why for a copy of Oceanopoly, has its winner – Christie!

Also, we did have to re-draw for Beluga #2 from Contest #1 (confused yet?) and his/her fuzzy countenance goes to…David! We know you are excited, David, just don’t gloat, OK?

Contest #2 produced such cool and intriguing entries that we have decided to give each sea creature chosen an in-depth post or series of posts in the near future. That way, WE don’t have to choose a favorite! (But Alexa will tell you hers if you ask.)

We’d like to invite each entry’s author to work with us on the post(s) for his/her creature, too, if willing.

Contest #3 coming up! We are haggling over the prize right now, and will post it when the dust settles.

Maybe we need to get more creative with contest names while we’re at it.

We’ve been waiting and we just can’t wait anymore!

O4E is officially addicted to contests, so, without further hesitation, here’s our second contest, and the reason why we’ve waited until now to announce the first contest’s winners (below).

Contest-amundo number two is another easy one to enter, but it’s going to be a short one!

Between now and midnight, Monday, 3/30, all you have to do to earn an entry is leave a comment on this post on what your favorite ocean animal is and why. yes, we already know this very well for some of you! You can enter multiple times and detail second- and third, etc. favorite creatures, too. That’s it!

What do you win for your efforts, you ask? Your own copy of OCEANOPOLY, of course!

This game was given to Alexa by her dear aunt, uncle and cousins for her birthday last year. Once we cleared the dining room table for our first take-no-prisoners quest to acquire land and oceans via hopping our cast-metal sea creatures around the board, we were hooked. Just make sure you have a good banker! (This game is recommended for ages 8 and up.)

Winner number two – where are you? We’re still waiting to hear from winner number two, so if you are reading this, give us a shout – and we’ll keep in on the low. (hint, hint)

Also, if we do not hear from winner number two by the end of this week, guess what? We’ll draw again on Saturday evening, 3/28, before Earth Hour and let you know of the alternate winner after we turn the power back on (more on that coming up).

Oceans 4Ever is officially splashing into the blogosphere this week, and we can’t do it without a contest.

Actually, we’ll be holding contests each week for an entire month, so check back every Monday for details on what we’ll be giving away and what you have to do to enter (all prizes have been chosen by Alexa).

Ways to enter will change each week, so if you don’t qualify now, worry not!

This week, we’re kicking it off with an easy contest for a cuter-than-cute, 16-inch stuffed Beluga whale (just like Max, Alexa’s own, above, only brand new and yours to name). We have two to give away, and if you want one, all you have to do is enter your e-mail address (kids, ask your parents’ permission first) in the “subscribe by e-mail” box at right for a chance to win. Easy squeezy, lemon peasy!
